Lakeview Harbor, which was forced to close its Harrison Avenue location in January, has found a new home at 8550 Pontchartrain Blvd.
Longstanding Harrison Avenue restaurant Lakeview Harbor was forced to shutter three months ago after its lease was not renewed
. On Friday, the restaurant announced it has found a new home not far from its original location.
The restaurant will reopen at 8550 Pontchartrain Blvd., a space formerly home to the Japanese bistro Wasabi.
The Lakeview institution operated for 25 years at 911 Harrison Ave. and was known for its big burgers topped with shredded cheese and its signature Typhoon cocktails. The owners say they are cleaning, renovating and painting with the hopes of opening soon at the new space.
