As with last year, a team of judges and guests at the event will vote for their favorite tacos and margaritas in several categories.
Last year, Taqueria Chilangos (2723 Roosevelt Blvd., Kenner, 504-469-5599) won both the judges’ and attendees’ vote for Top Traditional Taco. This year, the Ultimate Top Taco Award dedicated to Chilango’s former owner David Montes de Oca, who died last year at the age of 36. New this year is "Agave Week," which includes events, seminars, tastings and parties celebrating tequila and mescal. Advance registration for the events is required. A full schedule is here.
