The 2018 New Orleans Bourbon Festival is March 8-10.
The New Orleans Bourbon Festival
features seminars, dinners, tastings and events March 8-10.
In its second year, the festival takes place at locations across the city, including the Contemporary Arts Center, where the festival closes Saturday with two tastings. A portion of festival proceeds benefit Kids Can NOLA
, a non-profit organization dedicated to children’s causes in New Orleans.
Seminars with brand ambassadors, bourbon distillers, bartenders, authors and others will take place at the Le Meridien Hotel, which is where the New Orleans Bourbon Awards ceremony and VIP welcome party will be. For a full list of seminars and events, visit the festival’s page here.
There are eight bourbon dinners on Thursday, March 8, at restaurants around the city and include dishes paired with bourbons picked by brand ambassadors and master distillers. All of the dinners run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is an outdoor feast served family-style at Cochon with Jim Beam’s Fred Booker Noe III ($150), a four-course meal at Palace Cafe with Maker's Mark Distillery’s Mark Samuels ($130), and a four-course dinner at Toups South with Kris Comstock, the brand manager for Sazerac Companies and Buffalo Trace Distillery ($130).
The full list of bourbon dinners with menus are listed here.
