Comedian Hannibal Buress will make another trip to New Orleans before the end of 2017, ringing in the New Year with a matinee performance at The Joy Theater on Dec. 31.

The comedian and devoted parade-throwing, rat-encountering New Orleans superfan recently starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming, HBO's Crashing, Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show and Comedy Central's Broad City, among many other scene-stealing appearances, including a recent viral video in which the comic is arrested by Miami police (he was out a few hours later).

Doors open at 2:45 p.m. and the show starts at 3:45 p.m. Producer Tony Trimm also is on the bill. Tickets are $30-$50 and available online.
Also performing on New Year's Eve is Amy Schumer, who headlines the Mahalia Jackson Theater at 8 p.m. New Orleans native Sean Patton also is in town that weekend, headlining Comedy F— Yeah at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 with James Goodreau, Mary-Devon Dupuy and Vincent Zambon at the Dragon's Den.
