Several comedy shows accept cash donations for Houston Food Bank this week

Comedy shows throughout New Orleans this week will take donations (cash — don't bring your expired cream of mushroom cans) to benefit Houston Food Bank in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, which is expected to send as many as 30,000 people to Texas shelters. Here's a calendar of participating shows you can hit up:

Tuesday
Comedy Beast. Massive Fraud presents stand-up comedy. 8:30 p.m. at Howlin' Wolf Den.
Comedy Catastrophe. Cassidy Henehan hosts a stand-up show. 10 p.m. at Lost Love Lounge.

Wednesday
Think You're Funny? Brothers Cassidy and Mickey Henehan host an open mic. Sign-up at 8 p.m., show 9 p.m. at Carrollton Station.

Thursday
Crescent Fresh. Ted Orphan and Geoffrey Gauchet host the stand-up comedy open mic. 8 p.m. at the Dragon's Den.

Friday
Funny Friday. Comedians Mike Strecker, Allison Hotard, James Cusimano and J.D. Sledge perform. 8 p.m. at Shenanigans Kitchen & Cocktails in Metairie.
Comedy F— Yeah. Vincent Zambon and Mary-Devon Dupuy host a stand-up comedy show. 8:30 p.m. at the Dragon's Den.

Saturday
Local Uproar. Paul Oswell and Benjamin Hoffman host a stand-up comedy showcase with free food and ice cream. 8 p.m. at Allways Lounge.

Sunday
NOLA Comedy Hour. Duncan Pace hosts an open mic. Sign-up at 7:30 p.m., show at 8 p.m. at Hi-Ho Lounge.

Monday
Bear With Me. Laura Sanders hosts an open-mic comedy show. Sign-up at 8:30 p.m., show at 9 p.m. Monday at Twelve Mile Limit.
