Junction will open a burger outpost at Molly's at the Market on Sept. 1.
St. Claude Avenue burger hub Junction
(3021 St. Claude Ave., 504-272-0205) is opening an outpost at Molly’s at the Market
(1107 Decatur St., 504-525-5169) in September.
The announcement was made on the restaurant’s Facebook page and confirmed by an employee at the Decatur Street watering hole last week.
It's good news for fans of the Bywater burger and beer joint, which Lloyd Miller, in partnership with the owners of Molly’s and 13 Monaghan, opened near the end of 2014. The railroad-themed burgers were previewed at a temporary pop-up at Molly’s prior to that.
It’s the latest in a string of pop-ups that have taken up residencies — some longer than others — at the French Quarter Irish pub, including most recently Indian concept Bird by Bird and, before that, the veggie-focused L’enfant Terrible.
Junction will take over the small kitchen near the bar’s back patio and offer an abbreviated menu on Sept. 1. No changes are afoot at the St. Claude Avenue location.
