(1000 Girod St., 504-605-4413), a health-focused cafe and juice bar, is now open in the Central Business District.
The cafe serves health-conscious fare with a West Coast vibe, including cold-pressed juices, grain bowls, salads and smoothies.
Owner Dylan Maisel also runs JuiceNOLA at St. Roch Market, where he serves a similar, but smaller menu.
At his new spot, dishes include a quinoa bowl topped with avocado, carrots, bell peppers, scallions, chickpeas, currants and toasted almonds in ginger-garlic dressing. Kale salad is tossed with Parmesan, currants, toasted sunflower seeds and lemon vinaigrette, and an acai bowl features fruit, granola, almond milk, coconut flakes, goji berries and honey.
There’s avocado toast topped with cherry tomatoes, chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil and sea salt flakes.
Beverages include cold-pressed juices, cold brew coffee, chai, lemonade, fruit smoothies, wine, beer and mimosas.
The Daily Beet is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. For more information, visit the cafe’s website here.
