The New Orleans Film Society has announced the schedule of films and related events for its annual French Film Festival, presented April 21-27 at the Prytania Theatre (5339 Prytania St.). Highlights include the Oscar-nominated animated film My Life as a Zucchini; a modern-day ghost story starring Kristen Stewart called Personal Shopper; and classic films including The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and Love in the Afternoon (1957). Some screenings will be preceded by French-themed music or short talks on the films.
Tickets are $9 for NOFS and Prytania members (opening and closing night screenings are $2 more), and festival passes are $70 for NOFS and Prytania members and $85 for non-members. More info and the full schedule are here.
