The initial announcement was made on the cafe’s Facebook page, which called the move “bittersweet."
“While we are incredibly excited for our new location, we are very sad to be leaving a neighborhood we love so dearly — a neighborhood that allowed us to find our voice and grow into a unique vision.”
It’s the second move for the popular coffee nook since it first opened four years ago. The Mid-City location will function as a coffee shop, cafe and gift shop, according to the post.
The new spot will have extended opening hours (the Oretha Castle Haley location is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday) and weekend brunch service will be added, The cafe also will host “unique and education evening programming.”
