Wine of the Week


This fruit-forward, medium-bodied wine Ñ a blend of 39 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 31 percent Merlot, 27 percent Shiraz and 3 percent Cab Franc Ñ is aged for 12 months in a combination of American and French oak prior to release. In the glass, the wine offers a captivating mix of complex aromas featuring red berry fruit and plums with subtle oak nuances and spicy overtones. On the palate, dark cherry, raspberry and ripe plum flavors dominate with earth and herb notes in the lingering finish. It has an excellent structure with fine, well-integrated tannins. Drink now and over the next four to six years. Good on its own or serve with burgers, pizza, grilled or roasted meats and pasta with hardy red sauces.
