Cara Benson, former pastry chef at Muriel's Jackson Square, recently opened a casual French cafe called Tartine (7217 Perrier St., 866-4860; Hidden between the river and Audubon Park, Tartine serves breakfast and lunch with specialties like pate sandwiches on house-made baguette, salad Nicoise and baked eggs in brioche.
