Events, Metal

When: Tue., May 31, 9 p.m. 2016

The birthplace of black metal’s resurrection, Norway — to its credit and detriment — has generally taken the tenets of the genre extremely personally and literally. Taake (“Fog”), led by terrifying front-corpse Hoest (“Autumn”), uses its latest LP Stridens hus (Dark Essence) to show the most gifted and depraved parts of itself. Both are fascinating. Wolvhammer, Mehenet and Witch Burial open at 9 p.m. at Siberia. | Tue. May 31
