Teri Galleries Ltd. (3311 Severn Ave., Metairie, 887-8588; is auctioning original paintings by the late Ponchatoula folk artist Bill Hemmerling from Tuesday to Saturday, Oct. 20-24, with 15 percent of proceeds benefiting the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans. Gallery owner Sandy Kasten selected one of Hemmerling's first Sweet Olive paintings and a rare Native American piece the artist painted in the 1990s for the auction. Dress the little ones in their very best Halloween costumes for the Simon Kidgits Club Fall Fun Fest at The Esplanade (1401 W.
