On Tuesday, April 8, local Whole Foods Market stores will donate 5 percent of their net sales for the day to area battered women shelters. The Arabella Station store (5600 Magazine St., 899-9119) will donate to Crescent House, and the Metairie store (3420 Veterans Memorial Blvd., 888-8225) will donate to the Metropolitan Center for Women & Children.
