MOXY Studios (3811 Magazine St., 309-2516; www.moxystudios.com), a contemporary art gallery and working studio, opened in late July to display the art of resident artists Joan Cox, who creates large expressionistic paintings, and Timothy Weekly, who favors abstract monoprints. The new gallery, founded by Cox and Mare McCall, two Baltimore natives, also will feature the work of emerging artists. The gallery will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday as well as for private events.

Zea Rotisserie & Grill just opened an eighth restaurant at 1525 St. Charles Ave. (520-8100; www.zearestaurants.com). The new eatery opened a week ago and will serve dinner only for the first few weeks. It offers a casual dining atmosphere with food that includes rotisserie-cooked meats, seafood, salads, sandwiches, pasta, micro-brewed beers and more. The family of restaurants was founded by Taste Buds Inc., a group of three Louisiana-based chefs.
