Rebuilding Together New Orleans

The nonprofit program of the Preservation Resource Center, Rebuilding Together New Orleans was established in 1988 to rebuild and renovate homes for low-income homeowners. After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the organization focused on renovating and rebuilding storm-damaged homes for residents displaced by the storms. Services include painting, repairs, electrical and plumbing projects, flooring, installation of windows and doors, hanging sheetrock, making buildings accessible to the handicapped and more. It also deconstructs and salvages architecturally significant building materials from blighted homes.
