On August 7, ten of the country’s best farm to table chefs will transform the New Orleans Convention Center into a farm-fresh playground as they compete in the inaugural Chefs Taste Challenge for the coveted title of 2015 Farm to Table Chef of the Year.
So what’s all this talk about “farm to table?” The farm to table philosophy encourages local production and distribution of foods. Through organic, sustainable, and community-supported agriculture techniques, farm to table systems ensure that the freshest of ingredients are always used. And that means more vibrant colors, heightened nutritional values, and more FLAVOR!
Here’s how you play a role… 10 chefs will each prepare a signature dish featuring the freshest ingredients from regions across the country. Come hungry, because you’ll get to try every dish! Following your farm-fresh feast, you will have a chance to vote for your favorite chef. Your vote, along with the critiques of the panel of industry-renowned chefs will decide who is crowned the 2015 Farm to Table Chef of the Year.
