Museums and galleries across the Warehouse District will open shows and linen-clad arts fans will crowd into the streets for the 20th anniversary White Linen Night. Shows include photographs by Gordon Parks at Arthur Roger Gallery, works by Hunt Slonem at Martine Chaisson Gallery, works by YA/YA artists at the offices of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Styles, multimedia lightboxes by Bob Snead at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery and the Louisiana Contemporary show at Ogden Museum of Southern Art. There are three music stages spread out on Julia Street, which becomes an extended block party from Carondelet to South Peters streets. The lineup includes Egg Yolk Jubilee, Mahayla and The Unnaturals, and there's a DJ at the Contemporary Arts Center after-party (admission $10, free for CAC members), and there are bars and food booths on Julia Street. The evening is a fundraiser for the CAC. Participating restaurants include Broussard's, Crepes a la Cart, GW Fins, MoPho, Nirvana Indian Cuisine, Saucy's BBQ, SoBou and others. Gallery receptions are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The CAC after-party begins at 9 p.m.
