PlantMyPhone Campus Challenge

Tulane University students can participate in the PlantMyPhone Campus Challenge by donating old cell phones to fund the planting of 1 million trees by Earth Day 2011. Students can pick up postage-paid mail bags on campus, request them online, or print free shipping labels at www.plantmyphone.com/school/tulane-university. PlantMyPhone organizers anticipate the university will recycle 2,200 phones, which means nearly half a ton of toxic material won't end up in landfills. If the university achieves that goal, the donated phones will help plant 33,300 trees.

PlantMyPhone is a program from Mokugift, a United Nations Environment Programme Billion Tree campaign partner that aims to make environmental efforts rewarding and simple. Visit www.plantmyphone.com for details.
