Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Rob Maness, who is challenging U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy and state Rep. Paul Hollis in the November race for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Landrieu, last week received the endorsement of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Maness and Hollis, R-Covington, continue to poll in the single digits in the race, but both have led spirited campaigns, firing shots at both Landrieu and Cassidy.
In an ad released the same day as Palin's endorsement, Maness fires a gun, takes a boat into a swamp and tapes an alligator's snout shut.
