Banh mi and bubble tea shop Mr. Bubbles Cafe (www.mrbubblesnola.com) is now open inside the New Orleans BioInnovation Center (1441 Canal St.). It is the second location from the owners of Mr. Bubbles Sandwich House (925 Behrman Highway, Suite 12, Gretna, 504-570-6377), inside Gretna's Hong Kong Food Market (925 Behrman Highway, Suite 3, Gretna, 504-394-7075; www.hongkongmarketnola.com).

Vietnamese-born owners Canh Nguyen and Nam Vo opened their West Bank flagship in 2012. The menu is almost identical to the Gretna shop's, featuring banh mi, a variety of tofu-filled spring rolls, Dong Phuong bread loaves, almond buns, spongy milk bread, iced boba fruit and milk teas and frozen fruit smoothies. Mr. Bubbles Cafe is open from 7:30  a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
