Dec. 31 | National Public Radio has been among Brass Bed's biggest national supporters, so it's fitting that the Lafayette band gave one of its best performances of 2014 for the Tiny Desk Concert series in February. Evil Army and Classhole

Dec. 31 | Ringing in the New Year with Memphis, Tennessee's thrash demons Evil Army is New Orleans hardcore punk outfit Classhole (featuring Paul Webb on drums and Gary Mader on guitar), which releases its self-titled debut LP, the first release on new local label Terror Cult Records. Gasmiasma and Six Pack also perform at 10 p.m. at Siberia.

Mahayla with Lovey Dovies
Sat. Jan. 3 | Electricspaceagesweetheart (Serial Lover), the call-it-a-comeback 2014 debut redux by Dave Fera's Mahayla, sounds like it was pent up for seven years. Fera's pop has several flavors: power ("Bestie"), chamber ("Sitting At the Table") and deranged ("Caroline"). Lovey Dovies and Beautiful Sons open at 10 p.m. at One Eyed Jacks.
