IPA Day is held on the first Thursday of August every year.

The Avenue Pub is tapping several special IPAs for the occasion, including Gnarly Barley double dry-hopped Radical Rye, Bayou Teche Hop'elousas, Founders' Dissenter IPL (India pale lager), Stone Unapologetic IPA, Sierra Nevada Single Hop IPA and Southern Prohibition Sinister Minister.

The Bulldog Mid-City is offering Gnarly Barley Radical Rye, Yalobusha Miss-iss-IPA, Stone Collective Distortion, Founders' Devil Dancer triple IPA, Terrapin Rye 3 and Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Hop. Both Bulldogs (Mid-City and Uptown) will offer at least two different IPA flights.

On Friday, August 8, Bin 428 celebrates with a free tasting of rose wines and IPAs. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and includes IPAs from Founders, SweetWater, Anchor and Southern Prohibition.
