The Loyola Institute of Politics (IOP) will host its 32nd annual reunion from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at the home of Pat and Dene Denechaud, 138 Audubon Blvd. Donation is $100 per couple and $50 for singles.
Ed Renwick, director of the IOP, professor, and a renowned pollster statewide, says the institute's mission is to train people to run for public office or work in political campaigns, and to help inform members of the press who cover politics.
Renwick says the IOP is still taking applications for the 2001-02 school year. Classes start in October. The fellowship program features 18 weeks of Tuesday night seminars, ending in March. For more information, call IOP executive secretary Gayle Mumfrey at 865-3548.
