Gambit's Updated 2009 Fairs and Festivals Guide


Louisianans love festivals, perhaps because they bring together in one place the things we love most about our state: culture, food, music and fun. Almost every town hosts at least one festival to spotlight its unique character, and the themes and offerings are as varied as different cooks' gumbos.

To help us pull together information on the state's fairs and festivals, The Gambit has turned to Julie Posner, reigning queen of Louisiana festivals and publisher of the 12th annual Huli's Calendar of Louisiana Festivals and Events.
