Gambit Weekly is pleased to announce Todd A. Price as our new restaurant critic. Like many food writers, Price came to the profession by a circuitous route, in which a taste for travel coincided with a taste for different cuisines. Born and raised in Oklahoma, he went on to live in St. Louis, Washington D.C., central Virginia, Spain and France before moving to New Orleans. He brings to his new duties both a marked eagerness for and knowledge of many food traditions -- which we believe is fitting for a city in which so many food traditions thrive.
