Gisele Cosma, senior account executive at Gambit Weekly, was named Print Account Executive of the Year at the 2003 ADDY Awards presented last week by the Advertising Club of New Orleans.
Cosma was selected based on an excellent sales performance despite the sagging post-9/11 economy, says Gambit Advertising Director Sandy Stein. "Gisele increased sales by more than 10 percent from 2001-2002," Stein says. "She is a powerful resource for the company and an excellent mentor for the newer staff members."
Gambit Weekly also won two ADDY Silver Citations: one to Production Director Dora Sison in the category of Special Event Material Invitation and one to former Graphic Designer Jill Rochon for Newspaper Self-Promotion Campaign.
Other winners in the "Ad Persons of the Year" categories were: Silver Medal Winner, Dee Smith of Peter Mayer Advertising; Communications Support Person, Heidi Decker of the New Orleans Publishing Group; Marketing Director, Jim Pittman of Ochsner Health Plan; Most Promising Person, Michelle Cox of the New Orleans Publishing Group; Top Executive, Mark Romig of Peter A.
