Four One-Act Plays

comment

Tulane University's Department of Theatre and Dance presents a program of four one-act plays written by arguably some of the best comedians of modern theater and film. The program consists of God by Woody Allen, Leonardo's Last Supper by the late Peter Barnes, Three Plays by William Donnelly, and WASP by Steve Martin. Allen's God is a madcap romp involving ancient Greeks and Manhattan theatergoers discussing one of Allen's favorite subjects as a reluctant agnostic. AimŽe Hayes directs Jessa Bingham, Brian Davis, Corey Dunn, Peter Steinau, Andrew Eichner and others. A misunderstanding in Barnes' Last Supper puts Leonardo DaVinci in a tight spot. Buzz Podewell directs Andrew Belcher, Marleena Feehery, Sean Mellott, Neil Traft and Dana Webb. Donnelly's Three Plays is a string of three 10-minute sketches that touch on unexpected messages, everyday struggles and marriage. Paul Schierhom directs Lauren Elens, Claire Greshman, Jennifer Groves, Scott Jennings and others. Martin's WASP is about a white, middle-class Anglo-Saxon Protestant family (what else?). Ron Gural directs Evan Prizant, Kristin Faucher, Jamie Kurash, Harry Boileau and others. Tickets $12 general admission, $9 Tulane faculty and staff, $7.50 seniors and all students. -- Katie Walenter
