Late Lunch

Steve Gundlach, owner of Steve's Diner (201 St. Charles Ave., 522-8198;, opened a second restaurant in the Place St. Charles building. Terrazu (201 St. Charles Ave., 287-0877) is in the office tower's lobby and serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The menu includes hot, pressed sandwiches, build-your-own deli sandwiches and salads.

Pie Times Two

Two new pizzerias recently set up shop. In the Warehouse District, Pie (814 S. Peters St., 528-2743) offers unusual pizza toppings, including duck and alligator sausages and prosciutto, plus a large menu of pasta dishes, sandwiches and salads. Pie is open daily and serves until 4:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. In Mid-City, Lazaro's (4413 Banks St., 483-8609) has taken over the restaurant space behind the Banks Street Bar. The kitchen serves pies and slices from 11:30 a.m. through late night daily.
