Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival
6 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday; 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Saturday; 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday

The festival features a variety of boiled and fried seafood, raw oysters, alligator sausage and more, plus live music, a pageant and a car show.

Crawfish Cookin' for a Cause
11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday
Lakefront Harbor, Lakeshore Drive, Mandeville
Teams compete in a crawfish boiling contest and the event is all-you-can-eat for attendees. Proceeds benefit Project Red Light for Hope and Mary Payton's Miracle Foundation. Tickets $25 in advance, $35 at the gate.
