In last week's cover story ("Over the Line?"), we erroneously reported that writer Jason Berry's interview with Lori Budo and Cheri Landry, the two nurses arrested by Attorney General Charles Foti for allegedly killing four patients at Memorial Hospital after Hurricane Katrina, was only the second interview given by the nurses since their arrests. They were previously interviewed by 60 Minutes. That was true of the interview given to Berry by Dr. Anna Pou, who also has been arrested by Foti's office. However, the nurses were also interviewed by Times-Picayune writer Jeffrey Meitrodt for a story that was published on July 23, 2006.
In that same cover story, a typographical error resulted in an incorrect quote attributed to Foti regarding the cause of death of the four elderly patients at Memorial. He should have been quoted as saying that the patients died as a result of "lethal injection."
Gambit Weekly regrets the errors.
