The Birdfoot Festival, an annual showcase of chamber music, features concerts ranging from free lunchtime shows to late-night events, open rehearsals, happy hours and more. Performers include clarinetist Carol McGonnell (pictured), violinist Karen Kim and Israeli pianist Yael Weiss as well as members of Birdfoot's Young Artist Program. Festival composer-in-residence Patrick Castillo will present a new work in a program including pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky and others at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cafe Istanbul. Music from Stravinsky's Rite of Spring is featured in a performance at 11 p.m. Thursday at Ace Hotel. The festival finale is a Saturday concert at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center featuring works by Mendelssohn and Brahms and Henri Dutilleux's Ainsi La Nuit.
