Last week, Besh Steak in Harrah's Casino (8 Canal St., 504-533-6111; www.harrahsneworleans.com/restaurants/besh-steak.html) began a prix fixe weeknight menu. Chef Paul Robert's three-course menu will change monthly and features seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. February's prix fixe option begins with a blanquette veal ravioli with carrots, porcini mushrooms and petite mustard greens, followed by Korean grilled hanger steak with puffed barley risotto, crispy fried Brussels sprouts and pickled beet chips. Dessert is Ponchatoula strawberry shortcake with vanilla whipped cream and a buttermilk biscuit. The prix fixe menu is available Monday-Thursday and is $40 per person.
