$9-$12 Retail

Frescobaldi's Remole is an easy-drinking, young, versatile wine. The medium-bodied blend of 85 percent Sangiovese and 15 percent Cabernet Sauvignon aged five months in stainless steel followed by several months of bottle aging prior to release. It exudes aromas of dried plum, cherry and blackberry with spice and leather notes. On the palate, it offers hints of black raspberry, currants, herbs, anise and black pepper with well-integrated tannins. Decant an hour before serving. Drink it with pasta marinara, chicken cacciatore, cured meats, sausages, pizza and panini. Buy it at: Breaux Mart and Whole Foods Market in Uptown, Rouses in Mid-City, Zuppardo's Family Supermarket, Dorignac's, Martin Wine Cellar in Metairie and Acquistapace's Covington Supermarket. Drink it at: Fausto's Bistro. — BRENDA MAITLAND
