This light, crisp Sauvignon Blanc from the Wairau Valley in New Zealand's Marlborough region is an excellent value. Following fermentation, the wine was aged in stainless steel to retain its freshness. In the glass, it offers lively fruit aromas and a characteristic expression of the grape. Expect tart citrus, lime and an herbaceous quality on the nose followed by focused flavors of passion fruit, kiwi, tropical overtones, some minerality, balanced acidity and a clean, fresh finish. It's a great wine as an aperitif or an accompaniment to oysters and other shellfish, boiled crawfish, chicken, Asian cuisines and soft cheeses. Buy it at: Swirl Wines and Cork & Bottle.
