2007 Bouchard Pere & Fils Bourgogne Reserve Pinot Noir

Burgundy, France / $17-$22 Retail

Grapes for this light-bodied wine were sourced from several parcels in the Cotes d'Or for the specific expression of their terroirs. The final blend for this 100 percent Pinot Noir bottling combines fruit from regional appellations Chorey, Savigny, Santenay, Maranges and Beaune. In the glass, aromas of raspberry, red cherry and currants lead into soft, elegant flavors of ripe red fruit with good acidity and round silky tannins. Enjoy it with grilled salmon or tuna, fowl, lamb, pork loin, beef and a variety of cheeses. Buy it at: The Wine Seller, Hopper's Wines and Spirits, Swirl Wines, Bacchanal and Langenstein's in Metairie. Drink it at: Cochon, Luke, Cafe Adelaide, Orleans Grapevine Wine Bar and Bistro and Meauxbar. — Brenda Maitland
