R&B powerhouses Mary J. Blige and Maxwell bring a co-headlining U.S. tour to New Orleans Thursday, Dec. 1. The duo performs at the Smoothie King Center as part of their "The King and Queen of Hearts" tour.

Maxwell's latest is July's acclaimed blackSUMMERS'night, his first album since 2009 and the second in a trilogy spanning rich neo-soul and sultry R&B. He performed at this year's Essence Festival, where Blige is a familiar face. Blige says she's finishing her 14th studio LP, her follow up to the 2014 album The London Sessions and first since leaving Geffen and Interscope and signing with Capitol Records.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9. Ro James opens. Online ticket sales include a copy of blackSUMMERS'night and Mary J. Blige's forthcoming album. A portion of tickets proceeds benefit Artists for Peace and Justice.
