  • Big Tymers reunite Oct. 7 at House of Blues.

Cash Money Records duo Big Tymers — featuring label founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams, aka Baby, and influential producer, DJ and MC Mannie Fresh — parted ways more than a decade ago, leaving behind five studio albums and the foundations of a New Orleans rap empire, from the label's local beginnings to global phenomenon.

The duo announced a reunion on the heels of Cash Money's partnership with Apple Music and the release of the documentary The Cash Money Story: Before Anythang. While Lil Wayne's fraught relationship with Birdman continues (Wayne once again announced "f— Cash Money at this weekend's Lil Weezyana concert), the reunion marks Fresh's reintroduction to the Cash Money camp.

The Big Tymers perform Friday, Oct. 7 at the House of Blues (225 Decatur St.). Tickets are $47.50 and are available via presale Aug. 30 with general admission opening 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2.
