Beat the heat with dining deals during the month of August when COOLinary New Orleans kicks off the annual summertime restaurant promotion.

The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the lineup of restaurants for its 12th annual restaurant promotion, which features deals on prix-fixe menus at participating eateries throughout the city and runs August 1-31.

The deals offer diners a chance to sample discounted menus while offering incentives to restaurants, whose business tend to slow down during the sweltering summer months.

“It’s no secret that New Orleans is home to a wealth of culinary heritage and creativity, and COOLinary New Orleans is the perfect opportunity for both visitors and locals to experience our world-renowned cuisine,” says Kim Priez, Senior Vice President of Tourism for the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Deals include a selection of two and three-course lunch menus for $20 or less, three-course dinners or brunch deals for $39 or less.

The lineup includes discounted menus from more than 65 restaurants, including Angeline, Carrollton Market, Commander’s Palace, Café Degas, Galatoire’s, Restaurant R’evolution, Trenasse, The Pelican Club, and Tujague’s, among others.

Most menus haven’t been released yet, but details are available on the COOLinary New Orleans website here.
