Registration has begun for the 10th Annual New Orleans 48 Hour Film Project, in which local filmmaking teams compete to make the best short film in a 48-hour period. The triumphant team will compete at Filmapalooza 2017 in Savannah, Georgia for a chance to screen at the Cannes Film Festival. The first mixer for this year's competition will be held 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at Encore Legends Club (2708 N. Hullen St., Metairie). More info and applications are available here.
