Update, July 8: Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, July 15 via Ticketmaster. Tickets are $42-$82.
Country superstar Dolly Parton
will extend her 2016 "Pure & Simple" tour to New Orleans this fall with a performance at the Smoothie King Center on Nov. 30.
VIP presale begins Wednesday, May 18, other presales begin Thursday, May 19, and regular tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, May 20 via Ticketmaster.
The tour, announced in March, begins this summer and spans more than 40 dates in the U.S. and Canada. The tour is named for her upcoming double-album compilation — she announced
her sets will span "songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits" and songs making their live debut. She told Rolling Stone
that it'll be more stripped-down without many electric instruments: "I'm doing a lot of songs really scaled-down ... but, of course, I do a lot of talkin'. What else would I do, right?"
Organizers originally announced the concert in May but quickly scrubbed online announcements, including a ticket link and Facebook event. Promoters released the show info and tickets on July 8.
