Urban farm Hollygrove Market and Farm (8301 Olive St., 504-483-7307) holds its seventh annual Party in the Garden fundraiser on May 16.

The nonprofit functions as an urban farm and market where local farmers and small artisanal producers can sell their goods. 

Monday’s event features live music from local bands Hot Tooth and Greazy Alice, a raffle and food and drink from a crop of local chefs, pop-ups and bartenders. Drinks include the Smash & Grab cocktail from 12 Mile Limit, which features aged rum, Blue Curacao, lemon juice and mint. Among the dishes are vegetable agrodolce with marinated octopus from Uptown Italian restaurant Avo and shrimp boulettes with remoulade over local greens from Nolavore. 


Participating restaurants and drinks vendors include Bacchanal, Paladar 511, Covington Brewhouse, Vino Wholesale, Boucherie, Maple Leaf Bar, Satsuma Cafe, Three Muses, Moonshine Bakery, Quintin’s Ice Cream, El Guapo Bitters, Juan’s Flying Burrito, Donner-Peltier Distillers, Slice Pizzerica, Local Acres, Sneaky Pickle, French Truck Coffee, Big Easy Bucha and others.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. For more information, or to purchase tickets for the event, visit the farm’s website here.
