September's concert calendar is filling up. Back on the road with their first tour in a decade, the Dixie Chicks expanded a massive summer tour — with sets spanning political satire, deep cuts and Beyonce, Prince and The Weeknd covers — with a string of new dates. The band performs Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Smoothie King Center. Elle King opens.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3 via the band's website. Citi card holders' pre-sale begins 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 via Citi's website. Regular ticket sales begin Saturday, May 7 via LiveNation.

Fresh from his 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival appearance, guitarist Gary Clark Jr. announced his return to the city on Monday, Sept. 12 at the Civic Theatre. His latest album is 2015's well-received The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, hitting politics and heartbreak with his progressive blues on his third major label release. Tickets are $40 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, May 6
