The first trailer was released today for Deepwater Horizon, which uses the events leading up to the BP oil spill of 2010 as fodder for an old-fashioned disaster movie. Sure to be controversial — at least in Southeast Louisiana — the reportedly apolitical film stars Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich and Kate Hudson, and was directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor). It is scheduled to open on Sept. 30. See trailer below.
