Two of last year's best (and now Oscar-nominated) films will return for one-week engagements at the Prytania Theatre. Spotlight tells the behind-the-scenes story of The Boston Globe’s heroic Pulitzer Prize-wining 2001 investigation of pedophile priests, which resulted in similar revelations in 200 cities around the world. Psychological drama Room tells the harrowing tale of a woman and her 5-year-old son held captive in a 10-foot-by-10-foot space and cut off from the rest of the world. Brie Larson received a Best Actress nomination for Room, and both Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams were nominated for supporting roles in Spotlight. Both films are nominated for Best Picture and will run from Jan. 22-28 at the Prytania. More info and tickets are available here.
