Court 13 Arts, the newly formed non-profit arm of the New Orleans-based Court 13 artists collective — which made the Oscar-nominated film Beasts of the Southern Wild in 2012 — will hold its second annual Always For Pleasure Festival this weekend, Nov. 12-14, at venues in and around New Orleans. Highlights of this year's festival include Indywood Theater screenings of two Les Blank documentaries, Always For Pleasure (from which the festival takes its name) and A Poem is a Naked Person (an early-'70s portrait of musician Leon Russell), a parade and a Saturday night dance party featuring art installations, short films and a performance by Lost Bayou Ramblers.
A full weekend pass to the festival is $25 and will be available at all Thursday and Friday events. Tickets for individual events range from $5 to $10. See the full schedule here.
