Comedian, actor and "World Champion" Judah Friedlander stops in New Orleans for two stand-up shows in November during a book tour promoting his latest collection of comics and illustrations.

Among his dozens of sitcom, late-night TV and film appearances, Friedlander co-starred in the acclaimed Harvey Pekar biopic American Splendor and as the permanently hatted TGS with Tracy Jordan staffer Frank Rositano on 30 Rock and ex-husband punchline Ron Von Kleinenstein in Wet Hot American Summer and its recent First Day at Camp series on Netflix.

In 2010, he released the "instructional and inspirational karate book" How to Beat Up Anybody. His black-and-white comics and illustrations book If The Raindrops United was released Oct. 20 and features weirdly funny, simple and strangely profound line drawings, from a Gentrification Man comic to a panel imagining if guns had the right to vote. You can preview some of the illustrations here.

Friedlander performs stand up at Tulane University's McAlister Auditorium at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 followed by set at The New Movement at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 — tickets to that show are $17 in advance, $20 at the door.

Below, watch his Oct. 20 appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
