will broadcast a forum for six of the candidates in teh Louisiana governor's race Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.
Campaign spokespeople for state Rep. John Bel Edwards and Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle have confirmed Edwards and Angelle will attend. Luke Bolar, spokesman for U.S. Sen. David Vitter, said that the senator's campaign will announce his debate participation schedule "shortly." Gambit
has a call in to the campaign of Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne to confirm his participation.
All except Edwards are Republicans.
Also participating are two second-tier candidates: Cary Deaton, a Metairie Democrat, and Jeremy Odom, a Democrat from Natchitoches.
The forum will air live, with anchor Scott Walker moderating. WDSU President and General Manager Joel Vilmanay did not return calls about the forum.
