The comedy scene in New Orleans rolls on, with Brian Regan and Tig Notaro announcing stand-up appearances in the city.

Notaro will play Tulane University's McAlister Auditorium Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. A touring comic for many years, Notaro became a critical and fan favorite when she addressed the death of her mother and her own cancer diagnosis in a critically acclaimed show. A documentary about those experiences, Tig, debuted on Netflix this summer. She talked to Gambit in 2011 on the eve of her first appearance in New Orleans.

The Tulane show is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for Tulane students, faculty, and staff, and 7:30 p.m. for the general public.

Regan will appear at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts Jan. 10, 2016. He's a frequent talk show guest and prolific tourer whose special Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall,
will air live Sept. 26 on Comedy Central. Tickets ($39.50.00 - $44.50) go on sale Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Saenger Theatre box office, at Ticketmaster or by calling 800-745-3000.
