St. Claude Avenue burger and beer spot Junction was burglarized Sept. 12, police say. NOPD released the image above of the man suspected of robbing and ransacking the Bywater restaurant.
St. Claude Avenue burger and craft beer joint Junction (3021 St. Claude Ave., 504-272-0205) was burglarized over the weekend, police say.
According to police reports, an unidentified man broke into the Bywater bar, which sits near the Press Street train tracks, about 3 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Police said the suspect broke into the restaurant, which was closed and unoccupied at the time, by throwing a brick through the business’ back glass door. Once inside, the suspect ransacked the bar and broke two cash registers, before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police obtained surveillance footage of the man inside the shop, shown below.
A call to the bar was not immediately returned.
